Our client is a fast-growing software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own the delivery of user-facing product features from first prototype through production release, working across the frontend, backend and AI-enabled functionality. Collaborate daily with company leadership and end users to decide what to build next, with a strong focus on polished, intuitive interfaces.

What you'll do

\- Take ownership of product areas from discovery and design prototypes through to shipping production-quality features.

\- Build across the full stack, with particular care for clear and intuitive user experiences.

\- Collaborate with leadership and users to surface problems, question assumptions and prioritize the roadmap using real usage and feedback.

\- Design system architecture, data models and interfaces, and decide where standard application logic or AI-driven approaches fit best.

\- Shape interface and interaction design, adapting proven patterns from well-regarded products.

\- Write concise product requirement documents, prototype to validate technical feasibility, and follow through on rollout, bug fixes, usability and performance.

\- Try out AI tools in day-to-day engineering and operations, and turn the effective ones into shared team habits.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- Background as a full-stack engineer at an early-stage company, or as a founder.

\- Track record as a design-minded engineer, or time spent at companies with a strong design reputation.

\- Current, hands-on full-stack development skills, including JavaScript and TypeScript.

\- Well-developed taste in interface and user experience design, demonstrated through a portfolio, personal site or shipped work.

\- Ease engaging with users to understand their needs and shape the flows they use.

\- Ability to be in the office in New York, NY, 4 to 5 days per week.

Bonus points

\- Familiarity with business-to-business AI products or a specialized domain such as finance, insurance, legal or compliance.

\- Prior founding-team experience or a mix of engineering and product management work.

\- For early-career candidates, a degree from a highly regarded university program.
