Our client is a software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Build, run and support dependable services for a software platform deployed in customer environments. Partner with field and product engineers on design, automation and production support, including a share of on-call coverage.

What you'll do

\- Run and support deployed software, covering health monitoring, alerts, settings management and version upgrades.

\- Roll out new products at customer sites and move existing deployments onto newer infrastructure.

\- Investigate and tune services and underlying infrastructure so they stay stable and can grow over time.

\- Replace repetitive manual work with automation, scripts and runbooks.

\- Diagnose production incidents and restore service quickly with limited disruption.

\- Join a rotating on-call support schedule.

\- Work with field and product teams on sound, scalable system design.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- Strong Java skills.

\- Current U.S. security clearance at Secret level or above; clearances that are lapsed, expired or still in process do not qualify.

\- Experience shipping and running production systems, not only troubleshooting them.

\- Comfort solving coding problems in real time and structuring a problem into logical steps.

\- Hands-on production experience with containers and orchestration platforms.

\- Experience in defense technology or another technically demanding organization.

\- A bachelor's-level degree in computer science, computer engineering or a closely related field, with solid grounding in the fundamentals.

\- No interview with the company in the past 12 months.

Bonus points

\- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

\- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools or CI/CD pipelines.

\- Degree from a highly ranked university.
