Our client is a law firm.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Join a litigation practice as a mid-level attorney representing clients in tax disputes. You will partner with a highly experienced senior lawyer, carry out legal research and produce persuasive written materials. The position contributes to building out a developing practice area.

What you'll do

\- Assist a senior partner with tax-related litigation, both civil and criminal, and adjacent white-collar work.

\- Represent clients in examinations, administrative appeals and enforcement actions before the tax authority.

\- Argue tax disputes across specialized tax and federal trial-level courts.

\- Research legal questions and prepare court filings, legal memos and similar documents.

\- Counsel clients on compliance procedure, required filings and ways to avoid or reduce penalties.

\- Work alongside fellow litigators on cases that raise tax questions.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- 3 to 5 years of tax controversy experience, gained at a law firm, in a judicial clerkship or at a government agency focused on tax.

\- A JD plus an LLM in Taxation, or current enrollment in an LLM program ending no later than Fall 2028.

\- Excellent legal research and writing ability, with a writing sample reviewed during interviews.

\- Active bar admission in the state of the chosen office, or a wave-in application close to completion.

\- Willingness to work from one of the three office locations.

Bonus points

\- Background in both civil and criminal tax matters.
