## Description

About the company

Our client is a fast-growing artificial intelligence company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Create realistic three-dimensional scenes and assets using scripting tools, and maintain the tooling that runs and scores them. The work also covers modelling how machines move and interact under physical forces. Successful candidates typically come from graduate research or practical simulation work in industry.

What you'll do

\- Produce detailed 3D scenes and models through scripted tooling in Blender and Python.

\- Maintain tooling that sets up, executes and scores virtual test scenes.

\- Simulate movement, forces and contact for legged-humanoid and arm-style machines.

\- Generate labeled virtual data that helps learning systems practise physical tasks.

\- Work day to day alongside a group of research scientists on shared infrastructure.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- Proven ability to script 3D models and simulation pipelines in Blender and Python.

\- A track record of building accurate physics simulators or their supporting systems, from graduate study or industry work.

\- Completed a first degree in computing, robotics or mechanical engineering from a university in the top 15 tier.

\- Either advanced research with substantial simulation content from a leading university, or practical simulation experience with a robotics, AI modelling or large technology firm.

\- Familiarity with humanoid, arm-based or manipulator robots.

\- Working familiarity with the leading robotics simulators and physics engines.

\- Background should be in robotics or AI, rather than vehicle autonomy, unmanned flight, space or defence systems.

Bonus points

\- A master's degree or PhD.

\- Prior work at a company building humanoid machines, robotic arms or factory automation, at an AI modelling firm, or on a large technology robotics team.

\- Experience tuning virtual models so they match measured results from physical machines.
