Our client is a fast-growing software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Join as an early engineer who designs and ships product features from start to finish while also spending a portion of the week working directly with users. You will observe real-world usage, gather candid feedback and translate it into well-structured technical work.

What you'll do

\- Own the product build from start to finish as an early engineer, designing scalable architecture and shipping features.

\- Run hands-on sessions that help non-technical users get comfortable with the software.

\- Convert raw, unstructured user feedback into concrete product work.

\- Spend time alongside users in their working environment to see how the product holds up and decide what to build next.

\- Support in-person outreach at industry events by meeting people and building rapport.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- Strong engineering skills, including the ability to design sound technical architectures.

\- Genuine product sense and the ability to turn messy feedback into clear priorities.

\- Solid engineering experience, ideally combined with time in a customer-embedded engineering role.

\- Comfort speaking directly with users and business owners, by phone or in person.

\- An outgoing, personable style that builds rapport easily with people from all kinds of backgrounds.

\- Ability to represent and pitch the company and product credibly.

\- A hard-working, output-driven approach.

\- Prior experience in a small, fast-moving company, ideally at the earliest stages of a product.

\- Roughly 1 to 5 years of experience, and fewer than about 5 years since graduating (not strict).

Bonus points

\- Prior customer-embedded engineering experience at a vertical software company serving small businesses.

\- Prior experience at a company known for a strong embedded engineering culture.

\- Comfort working with field-based users.

\- Conference or in-person selling experience.
