## Description

About the company

Our client is a healthcare technology company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Take a hands-on, full-lifecycle role building software features, with a focus on backend services and some frontend work. Your time is shared between writing code and thinking through design, reviews and the effect on users, while learning directly from the people who use the product.

What you'll do

\- Drive features from first concept through design, build and release, with no dedicated product manager involved.

\- Build and scale AI-driven workflow components that run reliably over long periods.

\- Divide your week between hands-on coding and planning, code review and architectural thinking.

\- Spend most of your time on backend systems, with the remainder on user interface work, using Python and React/TypeScript.

\- Collaborate asynchronously with a small, flat engineering group where everyone touches every part of the product and meetings are rare.

\- Learn from end users and recorded customer conversations to turn their needs into practical technical solutions.

\- Create new capabilities on top of established infrastructure, with little time lost to maintenance.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- Roughly 2 to 8 years as a professional software engineer, with the sweet spot in the middle of that range.

\- Solid Python skills for building backend services.

\- A university degree in computer science or a closely related discipline.

\- A notable career standout moment, such as a leading university, a fast rise in responsibility, early startup growth or membership of a high-performing team.

\- A record of delivering product features independently, without product management support.

\- Working experience with React and TypeScript on the frontend.

\- A product mindset that factors the end user into technical choices.

\- A self-driven, dependable approach, taking initiative and seeing work through to the finish.

\- Willingness to work from the office four days each week.

Bonus points

\- Early-employee experience at a startup.

\- Background in healthcare or health technology.

\- Familiarity with Rust and cloud infrastructure tooling.

\- Exposure to building systems powered by large language models.

\- Experience at fast-growing platform companies.
