Our client is an early-stage software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Join as one of the first engineers and build backend-heavy, full-stack software while helping shape technical direction and engineering culture. This is a hands-on lead role that combines daily coding with mentoring a more junior engineer.

What you'll do

\- Build the data foundations that record user activity and connect decisions to their results.

\- Develop automated, AI-driven systems that evaluate performance, decide on changes and carry them out.

\- Own full-stack delivery end to end, leaning toward backend and infrastructure work.

\- Ship dependable connections to external third-party platforms, along with workflow orchestration tooling.

\- Mentor a junior engineer while staying hands-on in the code every day.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- 3+ years of software engineering experience.

\- Experience taking production systems built on large language models from design through launch and operation.

\- Experience connecting LLM-driven applications to external services.

\- Full-stack skills with a strong backend emphasis, including data pipelines and service integrations.

\- Background at a high-growth technology company or a well-funded startup.

\- Experience leading or mentoring one or two engineers, for example as a tech lead or founder.

\- Early-stage or founding engineer experience building products from zero to one.

\- Strong communication skills.

\- Comfort juggling many priorities and creating structure in ambiguous situations.

Bonus points

\- Familiarity with APIs from e-commerce or marketing technology providers.

\- A degree from a top engineering program, which can count in place of a startup track record.
