Our client is a fast-growing software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Design and run production backend services for an operational software platform, owning the work from early design through live operation. You will collaborate closely with end users and subject matter experts to shape practical, dependable solutions to loosely defined problems.

What you'll do

\- Lead the design and implementation of backend services that handle routing, dispatch and shipment tracking.

\- Model real-world business processes as maintainable data structures, APIs and event-driven services written in Go.

\- Build services that balance supply, demand, transport capacity and operating limits across distributed networks, including when connectivity or conditions are poor.

\- Connect optimization and planning engines to the core application so their output becomes dependable, actionable workflows.

\- Work side by side with users and domain experts to spot valuable problems and turn vague needs into scalable software.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- Around 7 or more years as a backend or distributed systems engineer, with clear ownership of live production software.

\- Recent hands-on work in a complex operational domain such as transportation, supply chain, warehousing or fleet operations.

\- Solid command of Go or a comparable high-performance language.

\- Strong grasp of distributed systems design, including asynchronous messaging, state handling and recovery from failures.

\- A record of taking systems from initial design through release and ongoing support.

\- Experience in a small, quick-moving product company rather than only large or legacy organizations.

\- Ability to drive complex projects forward independently, starting from an unclear problem statement.

\- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.

\- Eligibility to obtain a security clearance, and ability to work on-site.
