The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Run a personal caseload of business disputes with a high degree of independence, covering everything from discovery to hearings. Partner closely with several senior attorneys and clients in a lean, collaborative group, and take real ownership of each matter. What you'll do \- Lead business dispute matters through every stage with considerable independence. \- Conduct and defend fact and expert witness depositions. \- Write and present pretrial motions before trial-level courts at both the state and federal level. \- Prepare witnesses and lead the courtroom team at hearings and other proceedings. \- Collaborate directly with several partners and clients on a range of cases. ## Requirements What we're looking for \- 5 to 7 years of civil litigation experience with genuine time in the courtroom. \- A JD from an ABA-accredited law school and a license to practice in New York. \- Familiarity with procedures in both local state courts and federal courts. \- A record of independently handling depositions and preparing and presenting both discovery and dispositive motions. \- Experience leading hearings, arbitrations or trials, along with witness preparation. \- Excellent research, writing and verbal communication skills and a strong academic background. \- Self-starter who takes charge of cases and is productive from the first day. \- Willingness to provide a writing sample with the application.
