## Description

About the company

Our client is a fast-growing technology company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own research-driven projects from initial scoping through recurring delivery, partnering with outside research collaborators to define goals and turn loosely defined requests into concrete plans. Blend hands-on technical work, experimentation and cross-functional coordination to deliver results on short project cycles.

What you'll do

\- Work with external researchers to identify capability gaps and define priority areas for improvement.

\- Run experiments and benchmarks with internal tooling and open-source frameworks to assess model performance.

\- Turn ambiguous partner requests into clear research questions and organize internal teams around tight deadlines.

\- Design and manage data curation workflows, coordinating outside domain experts or partnering with engineers on automated data generation.

\- Review current research literature and apply the findings to practical datasets and evaluation approaches.

\- Own each project end to end, from scoping to regular deliveries, and iterate quickly on feedback over cycles of one to three months.

\- Explain technical findings to non-technical colleagues and translate user pain points into evaluation and training work.

\- Solid grasp of reinforcement learning, large language model design and what models can and cannot do.

\- Ability to read research papers and turn their ideas into working practice.

\- Experience converting customer needs into technical plans and execution.

\- Comfort using AI coding assistants in daily work, with a history of taking technical initiatives from idea to completion.

\- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, machine learning or a quantitative field; a PhD in a related research area is a plus.

\- Comfort with ambiguity, a resourceful mindset and a strong sense of ownership in an early-stage environment.
