The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Take on a varied docket of civil defense litigation, guiding matters from start to finish under the mentorship of a partner. The work spans written advocacy, discovery and courtroom appearances, and suits someone who can run a full workload with little oversight. What you'll do \- Defend civil claims involving property conditions, vehicle collisions and related liability exposure from intake through resolution. \- Carry a sizable docket of active files at the same time. \- Prepare motions, pleadings and written responses to discovery requests. \- Take and defend witness testimony at depositions. \- Attend court hearings and help get cases ready for trial. ## Requirements What we're looking for \- Active New York bar license in good standing. \- JD from an ABA-approved law school. \- At least 2 years of civil defense litigation experience, ideally with casualty or liability matters. \- Defense-side experience only, gained at a defense firm where you handled complete files rather than motion work alone. \- Track record of juggling a high volume of open cases. \- Ability to meet an annual billable hours target of roughly 2,000 to 2,100 hours. \- Self-motivated, able to run a full caseload independently with minimal supervision. \- A stable employment history.
