Our client is a fast-growing software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Serve as a senior engineer on a compact product engineering group, covering backend and full-stack work. You will take features from idea to release, shape data design and platform dependability, and guide engineering practices alongside colleagues in product, design and sales.

What you'll do

\- Evolve the infrastructure behind a large-scale automated processing platform, with attention to dependability, orchestration and speed.

\- Own a system that organizes and removes duplicates from generated findings so they stay useful over time.

\- Collaborate with product, design, AI, front-end and sales colleagues to understand customer needs and translate them into new capabilities.

\- Guide database design and query performance across relational and analytical stores as usage and workloads increase.

\- Carry features from initial scoping through to live release, including analytics functionality and tooling for automated agents.

\- Establish and maintain team conventions for code quality, interface design and schema design to speed up delivery and reduce defects.

\- Lift the team's backend and data design practices through example and mentoring.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- At least 3 years of hands-on experience running and building backend services in production.

\- Comfort contributing to both front-end and back-end code, without needing to be a front-end specialist.

\- Strong schema design skills and deep working knowledge of PostgreSQL.

\- Familiarity with APIs and database systems.

\- A history of independently taking significant projects from start to finish.

\- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup with minimal supervision.

\- A bachelor's degree, ideally in computer science.

Bonus points

\- Experience creating user-facing features powered by large language models, such as chatbots or agent tooling.

\- Background in shaping technical practices at an early-stage AI company.
