The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Join an early team as a hands-on engineer who builds and refines virtual models of physical machines and their sensors. Work directly with external partners to get those models running accurately, and write automation that makes the setup process repeatable. What you'll do \- Lead the setup of each new partner's hardware and operating environments inside a virtual testing platform, from kickoff through completion. \- Develop sensor models for cameras, lidar and radar using physics fundamentals, then tune them until they behave like the real devices. \- Collaborate in person with partners to fine-tune the models and close the remaining accuracy gap. \- Design and carry out test plans that compare virtual output with measurements gathered in the field. \- Write Python tools and scripts that turn manual tuning and setup steps into repeatable, scalable workflows. ## Requirements What we're looking for \- Advanced Python skills applied to scripting, analysis and tooling. \- A bachelor's degree in mechanical, robotics, electrical or mechatronics engineering, or a related field; a strong academic record is preferred. \- Substantial professional background in robotics simulation, including full ownership of physics-driven models used in real production work. \- A track record of taking at least one sensor or hardware model from concept through validation on your own. \- Working knowledge of a robotics simulation environment such as Isaac Sim, MuJoCo or Gazebo. \- A self-directed, hands-on attitude and enthusiasm for the pace of an early-stage startup.
