The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own the cloud infrastructure behind production services, with attention to reliability, performance and security. Collaborate with product engineering groups on release automation, observability and tooling that makes developers more productive.

What you'll do

\- Architect, roll out and maintain secure, dependable cloud environments for production workloads.

\- Take charge of build-and-release pipelines and infrastructure changes using code-driven and GitOps practices.

\- Partner with software teams to launch and evolve services across several public cloud platforms.

\- Create AI-assisted tools and workflows that help teams write and ship software faster.

\- Encourage service ownership by providing monitoring, processes and dashboards for uptime and performance.

\- Investigate the root causes of serious incidents and automate fixes so they do not return.

\- Run and scale container orchestration clusters, including preparing application packaging for releases.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- At least 8 years of software engineering experience, operating at a Staff or Principal level.

\- Hands-on production ownership of Kubernetes clusters serving as an internal platform, beyond prototypes or small-scale setups.

\- 3 or more years managing infrastructure as code with Terraform or Terragrunt.

\- Strong command of at least one major public cloud.

\- Working knowledge of continuous delivery and GitOps tools.

\- A history at strong engineering organizations, such as well-regarded technology firms or fast-growing startups.

\- A degree in a technical or STEM field, such as computer science, engineering, physics or math.

Bonus points

\- Background building or running machine learning infrastructure.

\- Familiarity with realtime, low-latency systems.

\- Prior founder or founding-engineer experience.
