Our client is a software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Design and operate server-side systems for a software platform, and deliver the user-facing pieces that make them usable. Hold real influence over technical direction while working closely with a compact engineering group and, on occasion, with customers.

What you'll do

\- Develop and maintain server-side services for a multi-tenant application.

\- Evolve the underlying data models as product needs change.

\- Manage connections to third-party systems across their whole lifespan, from access control to syncing, error handling and live support.

\- Shepherd each feature from initial design to release, then keep improving it using what you learn in production and from users.

\- Engage with customers when required to learn about their environments, troubleshoot problems and convert bespoke requests into broadly useful functionality.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- 3 to 6 years of experience shipping and running production software.

\- Solid back-end engineering skills, paired with the ability to work on front-end code too.

\- Hands-on production experience with TypeScript and Node.js.

\- Strong PostgreSQL skills and some exposure to asynchronous processing or task orchestration tools.

\- Background building interfaces between systems and moving data reliably in a multi-tenant environment.

\- Working knowledge of monitoring practices and distributed systems.

\- A sense of accountability for outcomes and good product instincts.

\- Comfort collaborating with customers to understand problems and shape solutions.

\- Enthusiasm for a small, technically strong team where the architecture is still evolving.
