Our client is a fast-growing financial technology company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own backend engineering for a latency-sensitive platform, with a focus on risk logic, consistent state handling and fast APIs. The role is hands-on and performance-minded, and sits within a close-knit team that works side by side in person.

What you'll do

\- Build and maintain risk management services that cope with volatile conditions and use capital efficiently.

\- Design and implement state machines that support transaction processing, settlement and risk operations.

\- Develop services that keep data consistent across asynchronous processes using coordination and consensus techniques.

\- Ingest live data feeds and coordinate time-sensitive workflows across external systems.

\- Create high-performance REST and WebSocket APIs with very fast response times.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- Production experience with Rust.

\- A genuine, demonstrable interest in trading or financial markets.

\- Comfort working with several database types, including relational, time-series and key-value.

\- A track record of shipping server-side software where speed and heavy load matter.

\- Hands-on experience with asynchronous programming.

\- Prior experience working at a startup.

Bonus points

\- Self-directed projects outside of work in a systems programming language.

\- Background in latency-sensitive or trading software.

\- Experience in fintech, trading or blockchain.
