Our client is a fast-growing technology company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Lead the internal engineering platform, release automation and tooling that help a growing group of engineers deliver faster. This is the first dedicated hire in the function, with a path toward technical leadership as it expands. You will work with several engineering groups to uncover bottlenecks and deliver practical fixes.

What you'll do

\- Streamline build and deployment automation, workstation setups and in-house tools so engineers spend less time on friction.

\- Work with colleagues across platform, product, infrastructure, networking and security to find pain points and rank fixes by impact.

\- Assess AI coding assistants, define safe usage guardrails and measure their real effect on productivity.

\- Create engineering-productivity standards, written guides and operational playbooks that keep pace with headcount growth.

\- Serve as a senior technical voice who mentors future teammates and proposes better ways of working instead of only following a set plan.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- Senior-level engineering background, including experience leading others and mentoring.

\- Several years at a high-growth startup through a period of fast scaling.

\- A history of creating shared platforms, engineering tools or core infrastructure.

\- A strong security mindset, particularly around delivery pipelines and server-side systems.

\- Proficiency in at least one contemporary server-side language, such as Go.

\- Hands-on work with scalable backend systems, networking concepts and large codebase management.

\- Working knowledge of Protocol Buffers.

\- Proven ability to partner with multiple engineering teams.

\- Willingness to work on-site part of the week in New York, NY or Washington, DC, or to relocate.

\- Current US work authorization.
