Our client is an aerospace and defense company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Build and release live software that applies AI to engineering work, taking features from first requirements through testing to launch. The role focuses on dependable language model systems, document understanding, measuring the quality of model output, and pairing AI with exact computation.

What you'll do

\- Build end-to-end AI-driven workflows that convert technical documents into structured outputs that engineers can review.

\- Develop AI components that pull information out of technical papers, vendor sheets and engineering records, then organize it and draw conclusions from it.

\- Connect language model features with exact computational logic and the surrounding application stack.

\- Design test suites and evaluation methods that score accuracy, technical correctness, source traceability and practical value.

\- Turn specialist know-how into software components others can reuse.

\- Work directly with domain experts to shape unclear technical needs into well-scoped features ready for production.

\- Improve an existing codebase in a practical way, favoring reuse and reliability over needless complexity.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- Takes ownership of tasks and decides independently.

\- Track record of releasing live systems built on artificial intelligence or large language models.

\- Resourceful and fast-moving, with a bias toward getting things done.

\- Strong backend and data engineering fundamentals, particularly in Python and AWS.

\- Background in putting applications into service, building pipelines that pull data from documents, and handling large data volumes.

\- Working knowledge of language model coordination, embedding-based search and multi-agent designs.

\- U.S. citizenship.

Bonus points

\- Prior work at a young company, in a founding-engineer role, or within an accelerator program.

\- Prior work with AI-centric consulting or services firms.

\- Familiarity with fields such as flight systems, autonomous machines, numerical simulation or defense technology.
