The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Improve the shared engineering systems, build workflows and in-house utilities that a large group of engineers depends on daily. Serve as a senior technical leader who mentors colleagues, sets team standards, and helps others move faster and ship with confidence.

What you'll do

\- Refine how code travels from a developer's machine to production, streamlining the setup engineers use every day across the whole company.

\- Work alongside colleagues from several adjacent groups to pinpoint slowdowns and deliver the most valuable fixes.

\- Assess AI-assisted coding tools, choose which to adopt, add safeguards and measure their real effect on productivity.

\- Set developer experience standards, documentation and operational runbooks that keep pace with company growth.

\- Lead as a senior technical voice, mentoring future hires and proposing improvements rather than only following a set plan.

## Requirements

What we're looking for

\- Senior-level engineering experience, comfortable acting as a tech lead and mentor.

\- Multi-year experience at a high-growth startup during periods of rapid scaling.

\- Track record creating shared systems and utilities that internal engineers depend on.

\- Strong security awareness, particularly around build pipelines and backend systems.

\- Fluency in a modern backend programming language.

\- Hands-on background engineering server-side foundations that keep working as load and codebase size grow.

\- Experience collaborating across several engineering teams.

Bonus points

\- Experience using Protocol Buffers.
