**Workplace:** remote

## Description

Our client is a fast-growing residential solar and roofing company in the US Northeast. Before a sales conversation ever happens, and long before a technician is dispatched to anyone's house, somebody has to answer one deceptively simple question about a property: which way does the roof face? South-facing roofs are where residential solar works best, and the list of south-facing homes is the list that everything downstream runs on.

Building that list is your job. You will work through assigned geographic areas and target lists property by property, using Google Maps, Google Earth, satellite and street imagery, listing platforms and public property records to confirm roof orientation and capture the data points the team needs. Then you deliver it in a clean, standardized format the next person can pick up and use immediately, with no cleanup.

We want to be straight with you about two things. First, this is high-volume work, and the volume is real. Second, nobody will be watching your screen. A property you verified and a property you guessed at look exactly the same in a spreadsheet, and the difference only surfaces weeks later, when someone drives out to a house that was never a fit. That is why this role goes to someone methodical rather than someone merely fast, and why what we care about most is how you handle the properties where the image is not clear enough to be sure.

### Key Responsibilities

Property Research & Identification

- Search for and identify residential properties with south-facing roof orientation using Google Maps, Google Earth, satellite imagery tools, and property research platforms
- Confirm roof orientation and relevant property characteristics by cross-referencing satellite view, street view, and available listing data
- Work through assigned geographic areas and target lists systematically, so coverage is complete rather than selective
- Flag properties that meet the defined criteria and exclude those that do not, holding the same standard from the first record to the last

Data Collection & Entry

- Collect the required property information, including address, owner details where publicly available, roof orientation, property type, and any other data points the team specifies
- Enter all gathered data accurately into the designated spreadsheets, CRM, or tracking systems provided by the team
- Maintain consistent formatting and data standards across every entry, so the output is clean and immediately usable
- Meet daily and weekly data volume targets without trading away accuracy to reach them

Data Quality & Verification

- Self-review your entries before submission, and correct what you find
- Raise ambiguous or unclear property situations for supervisor review rather than resolving them by assumption
- Maintain a low error rate and take ownership of data quality across all assigned work

Reporting & Handoff

- Deliver completed data sets to the team on schedule and in the required format
- Communicate progress and raise delays, blockers, or data gaps early, while there is still time to act on them
- Organize and label files clearly, so handoffs are seamless and require no additional cleanup

### Tools & Software

- Google Maps and Google Earth — primary tools for roof orientation and satellite research
- Zillow, Redfin, or similar property listing platforms — for property detail verification
- County assessor records and public property databases — for ownership and address data
- Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets — for data entry, organization, and delivery
- CRM or project management platform as assigned — for tracking and submission
- Microsoft Teams and OneDrive — for team communication and file handoff; Hubstaff for time tracking

## Requirements

- Strong attention to detail. Data accuracy is the single most important measure of success in this role
- Comfortable conducting high-volume online research efficiently and consistently across a full shift
- Proficient in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel for data entry and organization
- Familiar with Google Maps, Google Earth, or satellite mapping tools, and confident reading a satellite image
- Organized and methodical. You work through lists completely, and you do not skip or approximate
- Reliable and self-directed. You can manage your own workload and hit targets without daily supervision
- Clear written English, enough to hand over a data set and explain what is in it
- Reliable high-speed internet and a capable remote work setup
- Available full-time on a schedule aligned to US Eastern business hours

### Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience in a data entry, data research, or lead generation role
- Familiarity with property research platforms such as Zillow, Redfin, PropStream, or county assessor databases
- Experience identifying roof orientation or property features using satellite or aerial imagery
- Background supporting solar, real estate, roofing, or construction lead generation pipelines
- Experience working with large data sets and maintaining clean, standardized records

### What Makes You a Great Fit

- You would rather flag one uncertain property than guess at it and move on
- You are as careful on record 400 as you were on record 4
- You notice when a file format has drifted, and you fix it before anyone asks you to
- You tell someone early when a target is going to be missed, instead of hoping to catch up quietly
- You take pride in handing over work that needs nothing done to it
- Repetitive research does not bore you into carelessness. You find a rhythm and hold your standard inside it
