**Role overview**

Remote Recruitment is looking for a remote Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to support a UK-based employer from South Africa. You'll run the purchase ledger end to end and keep supplier relationships in good shape. This is a fully remote role working 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST).

**Key responsibilities**

-   Process supplier invoices and match them to purchase orders
-   Prepare and run weekly payment runs for approval
-   Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries
-   Manage the AP inbox and respond to suppliers professionally
-   Support month-end close with accruals and reporting

**What you'll need**

-   Several years of accounts payable or purchase ledger experience
-   Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
-   Strong attention to detail and comfort with high invoice volumes
-   Clear written and spoken English
-   A reliable home internet connection and quiet workspace
