### About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced **Clinical Specialist** to support a UK-based employer within their medical division.

This role is ideal for a South African professional with a strong clinical or medical background, excellent communication skills, and confidence working directly with healthcare professionals.

The successful candidate will provide **on-site clinical support, product training and education** to surgeons, nurses and hospital teams. You will also work closely with the sales team to support product adoption, strengthen customer relationships and contribute to overall business growth.

This is a **hybrid, sales-focused role** combining clinical support with business development. The successful candidate must be based in **Johannesburg** and comfortable working directly with surgeons, doctors, hospital teams and healthcare decision-makers.

## Requirements

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide clinical support during surgical procedures.
-   Generate new business
-   Deliver product demonstrations and training to surgeons, nurses and hospital staff.
-   Build strong relationships with doctors, surgeons and Key Opinion Leaders.
-   Drive sales and increase product adoption within the Johannesburg market.
-   Generate new leads and business opportunities independently.
-   Conduct face-to-face sales meetings with healthcare professionals.
-   Provide technical guidance on medical devices, particularly **wound closure and sutures**.
-   Work closely with the wider sales team to support business growth.

### Requirements

-   Bachelor's degree in **Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Life Sciences, Healthcare or a related field**.
-   **3–7 years' Clinical Specialist experience** within medical devices.
-   Strong experience with **wound closure products and sutures**.
-   Proven **sales and business development experience** within the medical or healthcare sector.
-   Ability to self-generate leads and build a sales pipeline.
-   Confidence selling directly to doctors, surgeons and healthcare professionals.
-   Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
-   **Must be based in Johannesburg.**
-   Comfortable working in a **hybrid and field-based environment**.
