## Description

**Renmoney** is a leading fintech company providing accessible financial services to individuals and businesses across Nigeria. We are building a modern financial ecosystem that combines digital lending, payments, and financial tools to support the growth of the Nigerian economy.

We are looking for a **Business Development Lead** to drive strategic partnerships and unlock new distribution channels across the Nigerian market. This role is critical to expanding our merchant ecosystem, accelerating SME adoption, and building high-impact collaborations with key industry players.  
  
**In this role you will:**

-   Identify and close strategic partnerships with key players in the Nigerian market
-   Own the full deal cycle — from first conversation to signed agreement and activation
-   Build and manage a structured pipeline with clear revenue targets
-   Work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Legal

## Requirements

-   5+ years of business development or partnerships experience in fintech, payments, banking, or financial services in Nigeria

-   Proven track record of closing complex, high-value partnerships independently — not just managing existing accounts
-   Deep understanding of the Nigerian SME and merchant landscape, both offline and online
-   Experience structuring and negotiating commercial partnership agreements (revenue share, referral, white-label)
-   Existing senior network in retail, electronics, FMCG, digital platforms, or financial services in Nigeria
-   Demonstrated ability to own a revenue number and be accountable for partnership channel performance
-   Strong grasp of CBN regulatory framework as it applies to fintech, MFBs, and merchant acquiring

**Nice to Have:**

-   Experience with POS acquiring, agency banking, or merchant acquiring partnerships
-   Familiarity with BNPL, embedded finance, or B2B SaaS commercial models
-   Experience building a BD or partnerships function from scratch in a startup or scale-up
-   Prior exposure to working with CBN-licensed institutions and navigating their compliance requirements
