### **Role Overview**

As a Software Tester, you will:

-   Ensure the quality, functionality, and performance of software applications
-   Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot, verify, and validate bug fixes
-   Execute functional, regression, usability, and performance testing
-   Identify, document, and prioritize defects
-   Contribute to QA process improvements and automation strategies
-   Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and testing objectives.
-   Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases for new and existing applications.
-   Perform various types of testing, including functional, usability, regression, and performance testing.
-   Accurately identify, document, and prioritise software defects and inconsistencies.
-   Work closely with developers to troubleshoot, verify, and validate bug fixes.
-   Create and maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive bug reports and status updates.
-   Participate in design and requirement review meetings to provide QA-related input.
-   Stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in software testing.
-   Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and automation strategies.

## Requirements

**Educational Qualification / Other Requirement:**

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

● 3+ years of relevant experience

● Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are advantageous

● Experience with test management tools and version control systems is a plus

● Familiarity with Agile and iterative development methodologies

● Proficient in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts

● Knowledge of various testing types (functional, regression, usability, etc.)

● Familiarity with testing tools and platforms

● Basic understanding of programming concepts and databases
