# Senior C++ Middleware Software Developer

## Description

We are looking for a Senior C++ Middleware Software Developer to develop the Linux userspace platform for our next-generation family of connected security and access control products.

In this role, you will design and implement reusable middleware, system services, and microservices that provide the software foundation shared across multiple products. You will help define and implement the interfaces between the operating system, hardware-facing services, cloud services, companion MCUs, and product applications.

The position is strongly focused on modern C++ software architecture, Linux userspace development, IPC, multithreaded and event-driven systems, and the integration of reliable platform services.

Key Responsibilities

·  **Middleware Development -** Design, implement, and maintain reusable C++ middleware, Linux system services, and software components shared across multiple products.

·  **Platform Services -** Develop services supporting configuration management, diagnostics, logging, security, OTA updates, cloud connectivity, event management, and rules processing.

·  **IPC & Integration -** Design and implement robust IPC using technologies such as D-Bus, gRPC, Unix Domain Sockets, shared memory, and message queues.

·  **Software Architecture -** Contribute to a scalable and maintainable Linux userspace architecture with well-defined APIs and interfaces between platform and application layers.

·  **Concurrent & Event-driven Software -** Develop modular, multithreaded, asynchronous, and event-driven software with strong focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability.

·  **System Integration -** Integrate middleware with embedded Linux, BSP and hardware-facing components, companion MCUs, cloud services, and product applications.

·  **Engineering Quality -** Perform design and code reviews, debugging, profiling, unit/integration testing, and root-cause analysis.

·  **Cross-functional Collaboration -** Work closely with BSP, application, hardware, cloud, QA, and system architecture teams throughout the product lifecycle.

## Requirements

·  **Experience -** 7+ years of experience developing C++ software, with significant experience in Linux userspace, middleware, platform services, or distributed systems.

·  **C++ -** Strong modern C++ skills, including object-oriented design, multithreading, synchronization, memory management, and event-driven programming.

·  **Linux -** Strong experience developing Linux userspace services and applications; experience with systemd is an advantage.

·  **IPC -** Strong knowledge of IPC mechanisms such as D-Bus, gRPC, Unix Domain Sockets, shared memory, and message queues.

·  **Architecture -** Experience designing modular, service-oriented, or microservice-oriented software architectures.

·  **Connectivity -** Experience with REST APIs, MQTT, networking, cloud integration, or similar communication technologies is an advantage.

·  **Platform Capabilities -** Experience with configuration management, logging, diagnostics, OTA mechanisms, and security-related services is an advantage.

·  **Security -** Solid understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure software design principles.

·  **Tools -** Experience with Git, CMake, Linux development environments, debugging/profiling tools, and modern software engineering practices.

·  **Java -** Experience integrating with Java applications or existing Java-based systems is an advantage.

·  **Problem Solving -** Strong analytical, architectural, and problem-solving skills.

·  **English -** High proficiency.
