**Roberts Oxygen**, a trusted name in industrial, medical, and specialty gases and equipment, is seeking an **Accounts Receivable Specialist** whose responsibilities will focus on **Collections** to join our headquarters in **Rockville, MD**.

## Requirements

**What makes you stand out?**

You provide excellent and effective credit and collection services, and maintain trusted relationships with both external and internal customers. You are skilled in making outbound collection calls, determining how invoices are to be delivered; ensuring Purchase Orders are correctly entered and reflected on customer invoices to facilitate prompt payment; evaluating past-due accounts; adjustments and customer refunds; reconciling customer payments; ensuring tax exempt documentation has been collected; and any other billing and collection task necessary to facilitate customer payment. 

Responsibilities and requirements:

-   3 years of Collection experience in an accounts receivable transactional capacity at a mid-sized company.
-   Solid collections, analytical, and negotiation skills for large and small customers with complex billing requirements and accounts with significant collection risk.
-   Ability to handle high volumes, difficult situations, and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.

·         Experience monitoring collections for customers billed via EDI or billing portals.

·         Understanding of basic accounting and impact of cash application entries on customer balances and bank reconciliation.

·         Experience with sales tax exemption and resale certificate validation.

-   Excellent Excel, Outlook, computer data entry, and 10-key proficiency, as well as the ability to quickly gain necessary skills and learn new software programs.
-   Detail-oriented with excellent communication, negotiation, problem solving, and follow-up skills.
-   Self-starter and individual contributor.
-   Demonstrated mathematical and accounting aptitude and function.

·         High school education or equivalent - Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.

-   Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job duty of all positions at Roberts Oxygen.
-   Experience with FACTS or Billtrust Cash Application a plus.
-   Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
-   If selected, ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
