**About this Opportunity**

The Reality Capture Specialist is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering accurate digital representations of existing conditions, in-progress, and as-built conditions, using laser scanning, drones, photogrammetry, and related technologies. This role supports preconstruction, design coordination, construction verification, quality control, and asset documentation by producing high-quality point clouds, 3D models, and data-driven insights for internal and client project teams

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Understand construction project workflows (schematic design, design development, construction documentation phases) and project management.
-   Understand construction project delivery methods and coordination methods to support project execution.
-   Plan and Perform laser scanning, mobile scanning, 3D cameras, and UAV/drone-based photogrammetry on active construction sites and existing facilities.
-   Develop capture strategies to meet project accuracy, coverage, and deliverable requirements.
-   Operate, transport, and maintain reality capture equipment in accordance with safety policies, and equipment standards.
-   Coordinate site access, logistics, and scanning schedules with project teams and site personnel.
-   Process raw scan data into registered/integrated point clouds using industry-standard software.
-   Process drone image data into registered/integrated data using industry-standard software.
-   Clean, align, validate, and verify datasets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and usability.
-   Perform accuracy verification against project control points, survey data, and project requirements.
-   Support clash detection, deviation analysis, and progress verification using reality capture data.
-   Convert point clouds into Models (LOD 200 – 500) as required for coordination, prefab, and as-built documentation.
-   Collaborate with MEP, structural, architectural, survey, and construction teams, to identify variances and potential issues early.
-   Provide clear documentation, visuals, and explanations of reality capture outputs to non-technical stakeholders.
-   Provide clear, professional communication with clients, field teams, and internal stakeholders.
-   Support coordination meetings using point clouds and as-built models.
-   Stay current with advancements in reality capture hardware, software, and automation.
-   Assist in developing company-wide reality capture standards and training materials.

## Requirements

-   Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Surveying, Architecture, GIS, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
-   2–3+ years of experience in laser scanning, photogrammetry, or reality capture within the AEC industry.
-   Proficiency with Laser scanner operations (e.g., Leica, FARO, Trimble, etc.)
-   Proficiency with UAV/Drone operations (Part 107 Certification preferred)
-   Strong experience with point cloud processing and BIM coordination workflows.
-   Proficient in using Reality Capture / Processing software, Leica Cyclone, FARO Scene, Recap Pro, Pix4D, or similar platforms.
-   Proficient in using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, etc.
-   Experience with construction and collaboration tools, including Procore, ACC, Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
-   Strong understanding of site safety practices, PPE enforcement, equipment safety standards, etc.
-   Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
-   Demonstrated motivation for professional growth and continuous improvement.
-   Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

**Environmental Factors and Working Conditions**

The work environment for this position is a typical office environment with occasional construction site visits. When in the office, the physical demands require the ability to sit for long periods of time. Intermittent movement, such as accessing centrally located office equipment, lifting of 35 lbs, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing, may be necessary to perform the requirements of this position. Site visits may subject the individual to hazards commonly associated with construction. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to be worn as required on project sites and in the warehouse.
