At Fenix UAS, we work at the forefront of New Zealand’s growing drone industry. We set a high bar for professionalism, safety and training across New Zealand and the Pacific and with demand continuing to grow we’re looking for another UAS Instructor to join our team.

**What you’ll be doing**

You’ll deliver practical, high-quality drone training in the classroom and out in the field, training that helps learners become safe, capable and confident operators. Your job is to make sure everyone who walks out of one of our courses is safe, capable and compliant.  That means making the rules easy to understand, guiding people through new skills and making sure our training stays relevant, professional and grounded in the wider aviation environment.

This is a hands-on role with a mix of training delivery, preparation, travel (both national and some international) and working alongside the wider team. You’ll also have room to use your judgement, suggest improvements and take ownership of your work.

**What you’ll bring**

Experience in the drone industry is not expected, however manned aviation experience is a must for us. We need someone who already has a solid grasp of aviation rules and the wider aviation environment, whether that comes from commercial flying, defence or somewhere else. You'll be teaching people who are new to all of this, so you need to know it inside out.

Just as important, we're after someone who shows initiative and thinks for themselves. You should be comfortable getting on with things, making sound calls and keeping people in the loop without needing much direction.

Previous training or instructional experience, along with an instructional techniques or adult learning qualification, will help, as will a confident, friendly manner in front of a group.
