## Description

**Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex Company** is seeking **Junior Software Developer** in **Patuxent River, MD** to support mission-critical DoD programs through the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in computer science, hands-on development experience, and familiarity with Agile methodologies to contribute to secure, scalable applications in a collaborative environment.

**Position Type:** Full-Time

**Salary:** $75k-$85k annually (depending on experience)  
**Work Location:** Onsite.

**Essential Functions:**

-   Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using modern programming practices
-   Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in C# and other object-oriented languages
-   Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
-   Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects to ensure system reliability and performance
-   Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement technical solutions
-   Support system enhancements by adding new features and optimizing existing functionality
-   Contribute to software testing efforts, including unit testing and integration testing
-   Assist with version control, build pipelines, and deployment activities
-   Other duties as assigned or required

## Requirements

**Required:**

-   Experience developing in C#
-   Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum or similar)
-   Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
-   Experience with debugging, testing, and maintaining applications

**Desired:**

-   Experience with Python, Java, or JavaScript
-   Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
-   Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or Jenkins
-   Experience with web development frameworks (React, Flask, Spring Boot)
-   Knowledge of databases (SQL or NoSQL)

**Education/Years of Experience:**

-   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Engineering discipline (must be a completed, accredited degree) required.
-   1–3 years of relevant professional or internship experience in software development

**Security Clearance:**

 Active Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
