### About the Role  

We're looking for a highly detail-oriented **Home Care Billing Specialist** to join our growing team supporting a leading home care organisation in California, USA.  

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, reviewing data for accuracy, and ensuring billing processes run smoothly. You'll play an important role in supporting billing operations, reviewing caregiver shifts, preparing insurance documentation, and maintaining accurate billing records.

### Key Responsibilities  

As our Home Care Billing Specialist, you will:  

-   Review caregiver shifts and billing information for accuracy before invoices are processed.  
    
-   Verify billing rates and investigate discrepancies.  
    
-   Perform quality assurance checks on billing records.  
    
-   Prepare and submit Long-Term Care (LTC) insurance documentation.  
    
-   Support insurance submissions through healthcare portals.  
    
-   Maintain accurate billing records and supporting documentation.  
    
-   Work closely with the California operations team to resolve billing-related queries.  
    
-   Assist with administrative and revenue cycle support tasks.  
    
-   Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and operational efficiency.  
    

### Working Hours  

-   Full-time remote position.  
    
-   Applicants must be based in **South Africa or the Philippines**.  
    
-   Daily overlap with the California (PST) team is required.

## Requirements

### What We're Looking For  

### Essential  

-   Previous experience in **medical billing, healthcare administration, revenue cycle support, or healthcare operations**.  
    
-   Excellent attention to detail.  
    
-   Strong organisational and analytical skills.  
    
-   Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.  
    
-   Ability to work independently in a remote environment.  
    
-   Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office.  
    

### Preferred  

-   Experience supporting a U.S.-based healthcare organisation.  
    
-   Home Care or Home Health experience.  
    
-   Medical billing or insurance claims experience.  
    
-   Experience with Long-Term Care (LTC) insurance documentation.  
    
-   Experience using healthcare billing software or insurance portals.
