**Overview**  

We are seeking an experienced and highly collaborative **Sr. Consultant, Strategic Partnerships** to support our client and associated joint venture operations during a critical period of growth and transformation. This is a 4-month contract role focused on driving strategic alignment, enabling governance processes, and managing key cross-functional partnerships both internally and externally. This role will operate at a fast pace in a dynamic environment, requiring strong stakeholder management, executive communication, and the ability to quickly translate feedback into action.

This position requires qualified candidates to live in the continental US. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship, visa transfer or C2C candidates. 

**Responsibilities**  

-   Serve as a central liaison between the Power Business Unit and external joint venture partner.
-   Support day-to-day oversight and coordination of joint venture activities, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
-   Build and maintain strong relationships across partners, including internal and external stakeholders.
-   Lead preparation and facilitation for Board meetings.
-   Coordinate closely with the Program Management Office (PMO) and executive stakeholders to develop materials, briefings, and updates.
-   Ensure readiness for monthly Board discussions where the joint venture is a high-priority topic.
-   Provide governance support and advise on board processes and best practices.
-   Act as the subject matter expert (SME) and primary coordinator for the annual budget process.
-   Guide and shepherd the first full-cycle budget process under new majority ownership.
-   Build and refine processes where none previously existed; ensure clarity, structure, and execution discipline.
-   Represent the Power BU in budgeting discussions, ensuring alignment with corporate financial processes.
-   Partner with key internal teams such as Strategic Realization Office, Legal, Finance, and other corporate functions.

## Requirements

-   10+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, joint ventures, or corporate strategy roles.
-   Strong understanding of board governance processes and executive-level communications.
-   Prior experience building Board PPT decks and budgeting is required.
-   Prior experience in the power industry is preferred.
-   Demonstrated experience supporting budgeting cycles, financial planning, or corporate processes.
-   Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
-   Experience working in high-visibility, fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
-   Ability to build and implement processes from the ground up.
-   Strong collaboration skills and comfort working in high-transparency environments.

**Education & Certifications** 

-   Bachelor’s degree is required preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance 
-   MBA is preferred

**Compensation**

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a four month consulting engagement, with an expected hourly compensation rate of $90 - $100. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
