# Senior Account Manager

**Workplace:** hybrid

## Description

As a Senior Account Manager, you'll own two connected motions: converting inbound signups into paying subscription or enterprise customers, and expanding revenue from existing accounts. You'll be given the leads and the data and real latitude to build the system.

This is a build-it-from-scratch role, not one with an existing script to execute. You'll report directly to the founder, with real visibility into how pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategy evolve as this function matures. If you build this well, there's a credible path to hiring and leading a team under you within the first year, though that's an outcome, not a requirement of the role as it stands today.

**Responsibilities**

- **New revenue acquisition (the majority of your time)**

- Triage the volume of inbound company signups using CRM and enrichment data to identify which accounts warrant a sales touch
- Build the qualification framework: which accounts get routed to a subscription plan, which are true enterprise opportunities, and which don't need a touch at all
- Run outreach and discovery with warm, inbound leads; these aren't cold prospects, they've already signed up, but nobody has followed up with most of them
- Convert qualified leads into paying subscription or enterprise customers

- **Account expansion**

- Identify upgrade opportunities among existing paying customers using billing and usage signals
- Run research-backed outreach and discovery calls to move accounts to higher-tier plans
- Partner with the product team on complex accounts to make sure they're scoped and technically set up to grow

- **Building the function**

- Design the playbooks, segmentation logic, and operating cadence for both motions from scratch; there isn't one to inherit
- Bring visibility to what's working: within your first month, you should be able to tell us which lead types convert fastest, which carry the most revenue potential, and where you're focusing your time and why
- Report on pipeline, forecast, and conversion metrics to the founder
- Weigh in on pricing and packaging decisions based on patterns you're seeing in the market

## Requirements

- 6+ years in a quota-carrying sales, account management, or customer success role, with a track record of building a process where one didn't already exist, not just executing an established playbook
- Experience working deals in roughly the $100–$3,000/month range, not primarily $50K+ enterprise contracts. This role is about managing high volume with judgment, not a short list of named accounts
- Comfort working from CRM and enrichment data to prioritize a large, varied pool of leads
- A self-directed, builder mentality, energized by "there's no script yet, figure it out," not someone looking for a defined process to follow on day one
- Still hands-on and hungry to sell personally. This is not a hands-off strategic leadership role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functionally
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous, high-growth environment
- Nice to have: experience at ad platforms, in influencer marketing, or with two-sided marketplaces
- Nice to have: experience selling both self-serve/PLG-influenced deals and larger enterprise deals side by side

## Benefits

- OTE: $130,000–$180,000 CAD, structured as roughly 60–70% base / 30–40% variable (commission), reflecting the blend of net-new acquisition and account expansion in this role
- Hybrid work model
- Annual performance and compensation reviews
- 2 weeks paid vacation
- Paid local and federal holidays
- Paid sick leave
- Real autonomy and ownership
