## Description

A leading healthcare group in the UAE is seeking an experienced **HOD / Senior Consultant Pediatrics** to lead the Paediatrics department and provide high-quality clinical care. The role combines senior clinical responsibilities with departmental leadership, team management, and quality improvement.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Lead and oversee the Paediatrics department and clinical team.
-   Provide consultant-level care for paediatric patients across inpatient and outpatient services.
-   Manage complex and high-risk paediatric cases and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
-   Develop clinical protocols, pathways, and quality improvement initiatives.
-   Supervise, mentor, and support paediatricians and junior medical staff.
-   Ensure compliance with clinical, safety, and regulatory standards.
-   Participate in clinical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, and departmental meetings.
-   Support recruitment, workforce planning, and departmental development.
-   Contribute to teaching, training, and professional development activities.
-   Collaborate with other departments to ensure integrated patient care.

## Requirements

-   Medical degree with recognised postgraduate qualification in Paediatrics.
-   Consultant-level qualification and experience.
-   **American, Canadian, Australian, Irish Board, CCT/CCST or equivalent** preferred.
-   Strong experience in a tertiary hospital or established paediatric department.
-   Previous **HOD / Department leadership experience** preferred.
-   DHA / DoH / MOHAP eligibility or licence preferred.
-   Strong clinical, leadership, communication, and team-management skills.
