## Description

A leading **Government Healthcare Facility in the UAE** is seeking an experienced **Specialist / Consultant – Colon and Rectal Surgery** to join its specialized surgical team.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care for patients with colorectal and anorectal conditions, managing both routine and complex cases and delivering high-quality surgical care in a multidisciplinary hospital environment.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Diagnose and manage a wide range of colorectal, rectal, anal, and pelvic conditions.
-   Perform colorectal surgical procedures using open, laparoscopic, and minimally invasive techniques as appropriate.
-   Manage complex cases including colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease, and anorectal disorders.
-   Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop individualized surgical treatment plans.
-   Provide comprehensive post-operative management and follow-up care.
-   Manage emergency colorectal surgical cases when required.
-   Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and other specialists.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient safety and clinical governance standards.
-   Support teaching, mentoring, and professional development activities within the department.

## Requirements

-   Medical degree from a recognized institution.
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **General Surgery / Colorectal Surgery / Colon and Rectal Surgery**.
-   Relevant Specialist or Consultant-level experience.
-   Candidates with **UK CCT, Western qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, or German Board** are encouraged to apply.
-   Strong experience in advanced colorectal and minimally invasive surgical procedures.
-   Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
-   Previous experience in a tertiary, teaching, or government hospital is advantageous.
