### Position Overview

A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced **Consultant / Specialist Cardiac Anesthesiologist with South African Board certification** to join its advanced anesthesia and cardiothoracic team.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide comprehensive anesthesia care for adult and pediatric cardiac procedures.
-   Conduct pre-operative assessment, risk stratification, and anesthesia planning.
-   Manage complex and high-risk cardiac surgical cases.
-   Provide perioperative critical care and post-operative management.
-   Perform and interpret **Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)** where appropriately credentialed.
-   Manage advanced hemodynamic monitoring and perioperative cardiovascular emergencies.
-   Collaborate closely with cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiologists, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, and departmental development.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with UAE healthcare standards.

## Requirements

MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.

**South African Board certification in Anaesthesiology** or an appropriate recognized specialist qualification.

Fellowship/subspecialty training or significant experience in **Cardiac Anesthesia**.

Relevant post-specialization experience in cardiac anesthesia.

Current professional registration and Good Standing status.

Eligibility for UAE Consultant or Specialist classification, subject to the applicable PQR requirements and final assessment by the relevant health authority.
