## Description

A leading healthcare group in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain is seeking an experienced **Consultant Infectious Disease Specialist** to join its medical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with infectious diseases and complex infections.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide consultant-level assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients with infectious diseases.
-   Manage a broad range of infectious conditions, including bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections.
-   Evaluate and manage complex and recurrent infections.
-   Provide specialist advice on antimicrobial therapy and appropriate infection management.
-   Support the diagnosis and management of hospital-acquired and healthcare-associated infections.
-   Work closely with microbiology, internal medicine, intensive care, surgery, and other relevant specialties.
-   Provide consultation for patients with complex or immunocompromised conditions where infectious disease expertise is required.
-   Participate in infection prevention and control activities and antimicrobial stewardship programmes.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with healthcare facility and regulatory requirements.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance, quality improvement, and teaching activities.
-   Provide education and guidance to patients, families, and healthcare professionals when required.

## Requirements

Medical degree from a recognized medical institution.

Recognised postgraduate qualification in **Infectious Diseases / Infectious Disease Medicine** or an equivalent specialty qualification.

Consultant-level clinical experience in Infectious Diseases.

Candidates with **Western qualifications or internationally recognised board certification** are preferred.

Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
