### Job Summary

We are seeking highly qualified and experienced Specialist / Consultant Gastrointestinal & Endocrine Surgeons to join leading healthcare facilities across the UAE. The successful candidates will be responsible for the surgical management of complex gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and endocrine conditions, performing advanced open, laparoscopic and minimally invasive procedures while delivering comprehensive patient care in accordance with international clinical standards.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Diagnose and surgically manage a wide range of gastrointestinal and endocrine disorders.
    
-   Perform advanced gastrointestinal procedures involving the stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum and associated digestive organs.
    
-   Manage surgical conditions affecting the liver, pancreas and biliary system within the scope of specialist expertise.
    
-   Perform endocrine surgical procedures, including thyroidectomy, parathyroidectomy and adrenal surgery.
    
-   Manage patients with benign and malignant gastrointestinal and endocrine conditions.
    
-   Perform laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical procedures where clinically indicated.
    
-   Conduct pre-operative assessments, develop surgical treatment plans and provide post-operative care.
    
-   Manage complex surgical cases and respond to gastrointestinal and endocrine surgical emergencies.
    
-   Collaborate with gastroenterologists, endocrinologists, oncologists, radiologists and multidisciplinary surgical teams.
    
-   Participate in clinical audits, surgical quality improvement programmes and continuing medical education.
    
-   Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and patient safety standards.

## Requirements

-   MBBS or equivalent recognised medical degree.
    
-   Recognised postgraduate specialist qualification in General Surgery.
    
-   Western Board Certification or equivalent recognised specialist qualification is preferred.
    
-   Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Gastrointestinal and/or Endocrine Surgery.
    
-   Relevant post-specialisation clinical and surgical experience.
    
-   Demonstrated expertise in advanced gastrointestinal and endocrine surgical procedures.
    
-   Experience in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery is desirable.
    
-   Eligibility for DHA, DOH Abu Dhabi or MOHAP licensing as a Specialist or Consultant, subject to authority assessment.
    
-   Excellent surgical judgement, clinical leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
