## Description

The Junior Consultant – Breast Surgery will provide comprehensive assessment and management of patients with benign and malignant breast conditions. The role includes outpatient clinics, diagnostic evaluation, breast surgical procedures, perioperative care, postoperative follow-up, and participation in multidisciplinary breast cancer management.

## Requirements

-   **Medical degree:** MBBS/MBChB or equivalent from an accredited institution.
-   **Postgraduate surgical qualification:** Recognized specialty qualification in **General Surgery** or an appropriate recognized surgical specialty.
-   **Breast surgery training:** Dedicated training/fellowship or substantial clinical experience in **Breast Surgery / Breast Surgical Oncology** is highly desirable, particularly for a role involving independent breast cancer surgery.
-   Experience with breast procedures such as lumpectomy/breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy, sentinel lymph-node biopsy and axillary surgery is relevant.
-   **Breast MDT experience:** Experience working with radiology, pathology, medical oncology, radiation oncology and, where applicable, plastic surgery teams.
