## Description

A leading government healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking a qualified and experienced Neurosurgeon to join its specialist surgical team. The successful candidate will diagnose and manage complex neurological conditions requiring surgical intervention, including brain and spinal disorders, traumatic injuries, and other neurosurgical conditions. ### Key Responsibilities

-   Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with complex brain, spinal, and peripheral nerve conditions requiring surgical treatment.
-   Perform neurosurgical procedures involving brain and spinal disorders, according to the candidate’s expertise and approved scope of practice.
-   Manage neurosurgical emergencies, including traumatic brain injuries, intracranial hemorrhage, and spinal trauma.
-   Evaluate patients with brain tumors, spinal tumors, hydrocephalus, and other neurological conditions requiring surgery.
-   Interpret diagnostic investigations, including CT scans, MRI studies, and other relevant neurological imaging.
-   Provide comprehensive preoperative assessment, postoperative care, and long-term follow-up.
-   Collaborate with neurologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and rehabilitation specialists.
-   Monitor patient outcomes and manage postoperative complications.
-   Maintain accurate medical records and comply with clinical guidelines, infection-control procedures, and patient safety standards.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, research, teaching, and continuing medical education.

## Requirements

-   Recognized medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent).
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in Neurosurgery.
-   Western qualifications preferred, including UK CCT/CCST, American Board, Canadian Board, Australian Board, South African Board, or an equivalent internationally recognized qualification.
-   Relevant post-specialization experience appropriate to the Specialist or Consultant position.
-   Demonstrated expertise in neurosurgical procedures and the management of complex neurological conditions.
-   Strong surgical judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
-   Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
