### Job Summary

**Leading private hospital in the UAE** is looking for an experienced Consultant Pain Medicine specialist with strong expertise in the assessment and management of acute, chronic, and complex pain conditions. The role involves providing comprehensive multidisciplinary pain care, performing advanced interventional procedures, and developing individualized treatment plans. The successful candidate will work closely with specialists across the hospital and contribute to the development of advanced pain management services and patient-centered care.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute, chronic, and complex pain conditions.
-   Develop individualized, evidence-based pain management and treatment plans.
-   Manage musculoskeletal, neuropathic, cancer-related, postoperative, and chronic pain conditions.
-   Perform interventional pain procedures according to clinical expertise and training.
-   Perform image-guided procedures including nerve blocks, epidural injections, joint injections, and other pain interventions where appropriately trained.
-   Evaluate and manage patients with complex or treatment-resistant pain.
-   Provide appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological pain management.
-   Monitor treatment outcomes and adjust management plans according to patient response.
-   Work closely with anesthesiology, neurology, orthopedics, neurosurgery, oncology, rehabilitation, and other specialties.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary pain management meetings and complex case discussions.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure high standards of patient safety.
-   Participate in clinical audits, teaching, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
-   Support the development and enhancement of advanced pain management services.

## Requirements

-   Medical degree with recognized postgraduate qualification in Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Neurology, or a relevant specialty.
-   **American Board certification in Pain Medicine or an appropriate recognized American Board with accredited fellowship/subspecialty training in Pain Medicine.**
-   Established Consultant-level clinical experience.
-   Strong experience in the assessment and management of complex acute and chronic pain.
-   Proven experience in interventional pain management and image-guided procedures.
-   Experience in a leading private hospital, tertiary-care center, or multidisciplinary pain service preferred.
-   Strong knowledge of evidence-based pharmacological and interventional pain management.
-   Excellent clinical judgment and patient-management skills.
-   Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-   Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
