## Description

A leading healthcare organization in the UAE is seeking an experienced **Specialist / Consultant Hand Surgeon** to join its expanding orthopedic and surgical team.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive assessment and surgical management of hand, wrist, and upper-limb conditions, including traumatic injuries, degenerative disorders, nerve and tendon conditions, and complex reconstructive cases.

Candidates with **UK CCT, Western qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, and South African Board** credentials are encouraged to apply.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Diagnose and manage a broad range of hand, wrist, and upper-limb conditions.
-   Perform elective and emergency hand and upper-limb surgical procedures.
-   Manage fractures, tendon injuries, nerve injuries, ligament injuries, and soft-tissue conditions.
-   Perform reconstructive procedures and complex hand surgery according to clinical expertise.
-   Manage traumatic hand and upper-limb injuries.
-   Provide comprehensive pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up.
-   Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans.
-   Work closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, radiologists, plastic surgeons, and other specialists.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical meetings.
-   Maintain accurate medical records and surgical documentation.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, and continuing professional development.
-   Maintain high standards of patient safety, clinical governance, and evidence-based practice.

## Requirements

-   MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical qualification.
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in Orthopedic Surgery or an equivalent surgical specialty.
-   Fellowship or advanced training in **Hand & Upper Limb Surgery** preferred.
-   Significant post-specialization experience in hand surgery.
-   Proven expertise in managing complex hand, wrist, and upper-limb conditions.
-   Candidates with **UK CCT / FRCS, American Board, Australian Board / FRACS, South African Board**, or equivalent internationally recognized qualifications are encouraged to apply.
-   Experience in a tertiary-care hospital or specialist orthopedic center preferred.
-   Strong clinical and surgical judgment.
-   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-   Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
-   Expertise in microsurgery, peripheral nerve surgery, tendon reconstruction, wrist surgery, trauma, or reconstructive hand surgery will be an advantage.
