### Job Summary

We are seeking qualified Consultant and Specialist Chest Physicians with South African Board-recognized specialist qualifications to join leading healthcare facilities across the UAE. The ideal candidates should have extensive experience in diagnosing and managing respiratory and pulmonary conditions, providing specialist respiratory care, and performing diagnostic and therapeutic pulmonary procedures.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Diagnose and manage acute and chronic respiratory diseases.
-   Evaluate and treat asthma, COPD, pneumonia, bronchitis, and interstitial lung diseases.
-   Manage complex respiratory infections, tuberculosis, and other pulmonary conditions.
-   Assess and treat patients with lung cancer and other thoracic disorders in collaboration with oncology teams.
-   Manage respiratory failure and provide specialist care for patients requiring oxygen therapy and ventilatory support.
-   Evaluate sleep-related breathing disorders, including obstructive sleep apnoea.
-   Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests, spirometry, and other respiratory investigations.
-   Perform diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy, where appropriately trained and credentialed.
-   Manage pleural diseases, including pleural effusion and pneumothorax.
-   Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
-   Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations and manage respiratory emergencies.
-   Collaborate with intensivists, thoracic surgeons, radiologists, and other medical specialists.
-   Educate patients on respiratory disease management, smoking cessation, and preventive care.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with patient safety standards.
-   Participate in clinical audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
-   Supervise and mentor junior doctors and medical trainees, where applicable.

## Requirements

-   MBChB / MBBS or equivalent recognized medical qualification.
-   South African specialist qualification in Pulmonology / Pulmonary Medicine, such as **FCP(SA) in Pulmonology**, with appropriate specialist training.
-   Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
-   Current or previous registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), as applicable.
-   Strong expertise in respiratory medicine and pulmonary disease management.
-   Eligibility for Specialist or Consultant licensing under the relevant UAE healthcare authority requirements.
