## Description

A leading government healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Consultant Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join its cardiology team. The successful candidate will specialize in diagnosing and treating complex heart rhythm disorders, performing advanced electrophysiology procedures, and providing comprehensive care for patients with cardiac arrhythmias. Candidates with recognized Western Board qualifications and extensive experience in cardiac electrophysiology are preferred.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with complex cardiac arrhythmias and heart rhythm disorders.
-   Perform electrophysiology studies (EPS) and catheter ablation procedures, including complex arrhythmia ablations.
-   Manage atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), and ventricular arrhythmias.
-   Perform and oversee pacemaker, implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD), and other cardiac device procedures.
-   Interpret ECGs, Holter monitoring, and other cardiac diagnostic investigations.
-   Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical guidelines and best practices.
-   Manage complex electrophysiology cases independently and provide specialist consultations.
-   Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
-   Monitor treatment outcomes and ensure patient safety throughout procedures and follow-up care.
-   Maintain accurate medical records and comply with hospital policies and clinical standards.
-   Participate in clinical audits, research, teaching, and continuing professional development activities.

## Requirements

-   Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Cardiology.
-   Fellowship or subspecialty training in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing.
-   Western Board qualification preferred, such as UK CCT/CCST, American Board, Canadian Board, Irish Board, or an equivalent internationally recognized qualification.
-   Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience, preferably with extensive experience in cardiac electrophysiology.
-   Proven expertise in electrophysiology studies (EPS), catheter ablation, atrial fibrillation and flutter management, SVT and ventricular arrhythmias, pacemaker implantation, and ICD procedures.
-   Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex electrophysiology cases.
-   Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-   Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.
-   Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
