## Description

A leading **Government Healthcare Facility in the UAE** is seeking experienced **Colon and Rectal Surgeons** to join its specialist surgical team.

This opportunity is open to internationally trained surgeons seeking to relocate to the UAE and offers the opportunity to work in a modern government healthcare environment with advanced surgical facilities, multidisciplinary teams, and comprehensive patient care services.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and surgical management for colorectal conditions.
-   Perform elective and emergency colorectal surgical procedures.
-   Manage benign and malignant diseases of the colon, rectum, and anus.
-   Evaluate and manage patients with colorectal cancer in collaboration with multidisciplinary oncology teams.
-   Perform appropriate minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and open colorectal procedures.
-   Manage inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease, colorectal polyps, and other complex colorectal conditions.
-   Provide assessment and surgical management of anorectal disorders.
-   Conduct pre-operative assessments and provide post-operative follow-up and care.
-   Identify and manage surgical complications appropriately.
-   Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and other specialists.
-   Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
-   Contribute to teaching, training, and continuing professional development where applicable.
-   Maintain high standards of surgical safety, clinical governance, and evidence-based practice.

## Requirements

-   Medical degree such as **MBBS, MD, or equivalent** from a recognized institution.
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Colorectal Surgery / Colon and Rectal Surgery / General Surgery with appropriate colorectal specialization**.
-   Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
-   Strong experience in colorectal and abdominal surgical procedures.
-   Experience managing complex colorectal and anorectal conditions.
-   Experience in minimally invasive and open surgical techniques.
-   Candidates with **UK CCT, Western Qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, or South African Board** are encouraged to apply.
