## Description

A leading government healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking a qualified Specialist / Consultant in Oral Medicine to join its dental and oral healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and managing oral mucosal diseases, oral manifestations of systemic conditions, and complex oral medical disorders while providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Diagnose and manage oral mucosal diseases, oral ulcers, oral infections, and other oral medical conditions.
-   Evaluate oral manifestations of systemic diseases and coordinate care with relevant medical specialists.
-   Assess and manage potentially malignant oral lesions and refer patients for further investigation when required.
-   Perform comprehensive oral examinations and develop individualized treatment plans.
-   Interpret relevant diagnostic investigations, including laboratory results, imaging, and biopsy reports.
-   Manage patients with complex oral medical conditions and chronic oral diseases.
-   Provide consultations and collaborate with dental, medical, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
-   Educate patients on oral health, disease prevention, and long-term management.
-   Maintain accurate patient records and comply with clinical guidelines and infection-control standards.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing professional development.

## Requirements

-   Recognized medical or dental degree, such as MBBS, BDS, or an equivalent qualification appropriate to the specialty and licensing category.
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in Oral Medicine.
-   For Consultant positions, relevant advanced specialist qualifications and substantial post-specialization experience are required.
-   Western qualifications preferred, such as UK CCT/CCST, American Board, Canadian Board, Australian Board, South African Board, or equivalent internationally recognized qualifications.
-   Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialization experience, depending on the position and applicable licensing requirements.
-   Experience diagnosing and managing complex oral mucosal diseases and oral manifestations of systemic conditions.
-   Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-   Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
