## Description

We are seeking an experienced **Stroke Medicine Specialist / Consultant** with an **American Board qualification** to join a leading healthcare institution in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide specialized care for patients with acute and chronic cerebrovascular conditions.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with acute stroke and other cerebrovascular conditions.
-   Provide timely evaluation and management of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke.
-   Participate in acute stroke pathways, including appropriate thrombolysis and thrombectomy assessment.
-   Develop individualized treatment and secondary stroke-prevention plans.
-   Manage stroke-related complications and coordinate rehabilitation and follow-up care.
-   Interpret and correlate neurological examinations with relevant imaging and diagnostic investigations.
-   Work closely with neuroradiologists, neurosurgeons, intensivists, rehabilitation specialists, and multidisciplinary stroke teams.
-   Provide outpatient follow-up and long-term stroke management.
-   Counsel patients and families regarding treatment, risk factors, prevention, and rehabilitation.
-   Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
-   Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient-safety initiatives.
-   Support teaching and supervision of junior medical staff where required.
-   Comply with UAE healthcare regulations, hospital policies, and professional standards.

## Requirements

-   **American Board Certification in Neurology** or relevant recognized qualification with appropriate Stroke Medicine expertise.
-   Additional fellowship or advanced training in Stroke Medicine is preferred.
-   Valid medical registration in the country of practice.
-   Relevant clinical experience in acute stroke and cerebrovascular medicine.
-   Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
-   Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
-   Eligible for UAE medical licensing, subject to the relevant health authority's assessment.
