## Description

SearchPlus HR is seeking qualified and experienced **Specialist and Consultant Gastroenterologists** to join leading hospitals and multispecialty healthcare facilities in the UAE. This opportunity is suitable for internationally trained medical professionals with recognised specialist qualifications and experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver disorders.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive gastroenterology services, perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, and deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal conditions, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and functional gastrointestinal disorders.
-   Assess and treat liver conditions, including hepatitis, fatty liver disease, cirrhosis, and other hepatobiliary disorders.
-   Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and colonoscopy, according to clinical expertise and hospital privileges.
-   Evaluate patients presenting with abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding, swallowing difficulties, and changes in bowel habits.
-   Develop individualised treatment plans based on clinical findings, laboratory investigations, imaging, and endoscopic results.
-   Manage complex gastrointestinal cases and coordinate care for patients requiring multidisciplinary assessment.
-   Provide preventive screening and surveillance for colorectal cancer and other relevant gastrointestinal conditions.
-   Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, nutritionists, and other healthcare professionals.
-   Educate patients on disease management, dietary modifications, medication adherence, and preventive healthcare.
-   Maintain accurate medical records and comply with clinical governance, infection-control, and patient-safety standards.

## Requirements

-   Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
-   Recognised postgraduate specialist qualification in Gastroenterology.
-   **UK CCT, American Board Certification, Australian specialist qualification, or an equivalent recognised specialist qualification** is preferred.
-   Relevant clinical experience in gastroenterology and the management of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders.
-   Demonstrated competence in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, where required by the position.
-   Strong clinical judgement, diagnostic skills, and patient-management abilities.
-   Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
-   Eligibility for Specialist or Consultant licensing in the UAE, subject to the relevant health authority's qualification and experience requirements.
