## Description

A prestigious **Government Healthcare Facility in the UAE** is seeking an experienced **Senior Specialist / Consultant – General Surgery** to join its expanding surgical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly qualified General Surgeon to work within a well-established government healthcare environment, providing high-quality surgical care and contributing to clinical excellence.

We are particularly interested in candidates with internationally recognized qualifications, including **UK CCT, Western Qualified, American Board, Australian Board, and South African Board** credentials.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide specialist/consultant-level surgical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
-   Perform a wide range of general surgical procedures according to clinical expertise and experience.
-   Evaluate patients and determine appropriate surgical and non-surgical treatment plans.
-   Manage elective and emergency surgical cases.
-   Perform pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up.
-   Monitor patients throughout the surgical care pathway and manage potential complications.
-   Collaborate with anesthesiologists, physicians, nurses, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
-   Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records and surgical documentation.
-   Participate in surgical rounds, multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
-   Contribute to the training, supervision, and mentoring of junior medical staff.
-   Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection control, and clinical governance.
-   Keep up to date with current surgical guidelines, evidence-based practices, and developments in General Surgery.

## Requirements

-   Medical degree such as **MBBS, MD, or equivalent** from a recognized institution.
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **General Surgery**.
-   Significant post-specialty clinical experience in General Surgery.
-   Strong experience in the assessment and management of surgical patients.
-   Demonstrated experience in performing relevant general surgical procedures.
-   Experience in managing both elective and emergency surgical cases.
-   Strong clinical judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
-   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-   Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
