## Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Consultant Cardiovascular Surgeon with Australian Board certification or recognised specialist fellowship qualifications to join a prestigious healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide advanced surgical care for patients with complex cardiovascular and cardiothoracic conditions, perform sophisticated cardiac surgical procedures, and contribute to clinical leadership, multidisciplinary collaboration and the development of cardiovascular services.

## Key Responsibilities

-   Lead the assessment, diagnosis and surgical management of complex cardiovascular and cardiothoracic conditions.
    
-   Perform advanced cardiac surgical procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), heart valve repair and replacement, and aortic surgery.
    
-   Manage patients with acquired and congenital cardiovascular conditions within the scope of specialist training.
    
-   Provide expert consultation and develop comprehensive surgical treatment plans for complex cases.
    
-   Oversee pre-operative evaluations, surgical interventions and post-operative patient management.
    
-   Manage surgical complications and coordinate critical care for high-risk cardiovascular patients.
    
-   Provide clinical leadership and guidance to junior surgeons and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
    
-   Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiac anaesthesiologists, intensivists and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
    
-   Participate in clinical governance, surgical audits, research and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
    
-   Ensure compliance with international clinical standards, patient safety protocols and UAE healthcare regulations.

## Requirements

-   MBBS or equivalent recognised medical degree.
-   FRACS in Cardiothoracic Surgery or an equivalent recognised Australian specialist qualification.
-   Recognised specialist training in Cardiothoracic / Cardiovascular Surgery.
-   Extensive post-specialisation surgical experience with proven expertise in complex cardiac procedures.
-   Demonstrated experience in independent consultant-level surgical practice.
-   Strong clinical leadership, decision-making and multidisciplinary management skills.
-   Eligibility for Consultant classification under DHA, DOH Abu Dhabi or MOHAP licensing requirements, subject to authority assessment.
