## Description

A leading healthcare group in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain is seeking an experienced **Consultant Psychiatrist** to join its specialist mental health team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for children and adolescents with a range of emotional, behavioural, developmental, and psychiatric conditions.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide consultant-level psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for children and adolescents.
-   Assess and manage a wide range of psychiatric and behavioural conditions.
-   Evaluate developmental, emotional, behavioural, and social concerns affecting children and adolescents.
-   Develop individualised treatment plans based on clinical assessment and patient needs.
-   Provide appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
-   Work closely with parents, caregivers, schools, psychologists, therapists, paediatricians, and other healthcare professionals.
-   Conduct risk assessments and provide appropriate management for patients presenting with complex mental health needs.
-   Provide counselling and psychoeducation to patients and their families.
-   Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in accordance with healthcare and regulatory standards.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance, quality improvement, and teaching activities.
-   Support early identification and intervention for children and adolescents with mental health and developmental concerns.

## Requirements

Medical degree from a recognised medical institution.

Recognised postgraduate qualification in **Child & Adolescent Psychiatry / Psychiatry** or an equivalent specialty qualification.

Consultant-level experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Experience managing children and adolescents with a broad range of psychiatric and behavioural conditions.

Candidates with **Western qualifications or internationally recognised board certification** are preferred.

Eligibility for **DOH (Abu Dhabi) licensing/registration**.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
